Inside the Cayuga shipwreck. The Cayuga sank on may 10th, 1895 in a collision with the Joseph L. Hurd in the Straits Of Mackinac. From 1895 to 1900 salvage crews tried to raise her since she was a very expensive steel ship for her day.
She was never raised after one man died in the attempt and is Rumored to be still stuck under the steel barge that sits next to her.
